Science can be a challenging topic to teach in the homeschool classroom. This series will help. You get to be the student as each class will give you the background knowledge, activities, and handouts to allow you to incorporate nature study into your everyday curriculum. Come enjoy a day out with other homeschool parents and share ideas over a catered lunch.
During this course, you will discover the different techniques for surveying birds, mammals, reptiles/amphibians and insects in your own backyard. You will go home with the skills to conduct simple surveys, lesson plans for using the data collected, and creative ways to incorporate other disciplines into your science curriculum.
Cost: $25 members/ $35 non-members. Price includes all curriculum materials and lunch. Registration deadline – April 12. To register, call 330-359-5235 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
