AdvertisingContract and Copy Regulations• The Budget reserves the right to revise or reject any advertisement believed at the Publishers' discretion to be misleading or objectionable to our readers. • No liquor, beer or tobacco advertising accepted. • Clairvoyant, 900-phone number, relationship-seeking, and MLM advertising is not accepted. • Invoices are due and payable on receipt. An interest charge of 1.5% per month added to accounts over 30 days (18% per year annual percentage rate). Payment is required with first ad, unless having already established credit. Visa and MasterCard accepted. • Ads requiring payment in advance include, but are not limited to, political, going-out-of-business, bankruptcy ads, transient industries (e.g. carnivals, circuses and similar road shows), and others at Publishers’ discretion. • Advertising simulating news style will be labeled “Advertisement” in the top and bottom borders of the ad. • The advertiser represents and warrants that any copy submitted is truthful and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. As required by state law, political ads must include the name and address of the person paying for the ad. • Cut-outs or photos from other magazines and newspapers are not legal. The Budget will not knowingly accept advertising cuts that have been cut out from competitors’ ads. • The Budget does not guarantee specific position to advertisers. However, every effort is made to recognize position requests of advertisers when they do not interfere with standard page design of the newspaper. Under no circumstances can any claim or adjustment, refund or reinstatement be allowed because of the position in which the ad has been published. • The Budget assumes no financial responsibility for any errors or omissions in ad. The newspaper shall not be liable to the advertiser for any loss that results from the incorrect publication or omission of any advertisement. The Budget will upon request, furnish the advertiser with a letter to the effect that a typographical error has occurred. Under no circumstances will the newspaper be responsible for errors in any insertion beyond the first. Liability of The Budget is limited to re-running without charge the advertisement in which an error has occurred. The Budget will assume no responsibility for errors in advertisements taken over the phone, or when advertisers sign-off on a proof copy. • Claims or errors in invoices must be made within thirty (30) days of date of invoice. Otherwise, such claims will not be considered. Claims can be started over the phone, but they must be followed-up in writing, and postmarked or faxed to The Budget within the 30 day period. • All rights and privileges granted to a prospective advertiser are that advertiser’s alone, and cannot be transferred to any other party.

R.O.P. DEPTH REQUIREMENT: Minimum ad size is 2 column inches, except: Boxed Classified display ad size minimum is 1 column inch. MECHANICAL MEASUREMENTS: Page depth is 21.5 inches; 6 columns per page; Columns are 2-1/16” wide with 1/8” gutter between columns; Each page contains 129 column inches; Method of production is offset. EMAIL FORMATS: When emailing an ad to us general rules are that as a complete ad PDF is the best format to submit your advertisement in. When emailing pictures JPG or TIFF is the best format. Also please keep in mind that we are a black and white publication, unless you intend to pay for color, please submit your PDF ad exactly as it will appear in the newspaper. GENERAL PRODUCTION INFORMATION: • Our half-tone production is excellent, but quality is in direct relation to the materials provided us. For best reproduction, we suggest black and white glossy pictures available from most suppliers. Cut-outs from suppliers’ catalogs most likely have already been half-toned or are in color. They do not reproduce well, and are submitted entirely at the risk of the advertiser. • It is our policy not to alter camera-ready ads, except to add or replace borders to adjust to our column widths. GENERAL RATE POLICIES AND INFORMATION: • A special non-profit rate is available to churches, civic associations and other recognized non-profit organizations, with approval from the Publisher. • Basic composition (copy, design and art) charges are included in the rates. However, ads requiring special attention or original artwork are available at modest costs. Ask for an estimate. • Each color cost in addition to black is $50.00 per page or any part thereof, in addition to regular ad rates. Minimum size for color is 12 column inches. Position requests cannot be guaranteed, but we will try to accommodate. • Advertising may be placed in either the Local or National Editions. The National Edition is inserted into all Local Edition papers. However to maximize your exposure you might consider running an ad in both editions.
