Appointments are now being accepted for the 27th Annual Dover-New Philadelphia Kiwanis “Community Health Profile.”
The comprehensive blood screening will be held on Saturday, September 22, from 6 to 11 a.m. at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and covers a wide range of health indicators at a discounted price.
The blood profile testing includes:
- Diabetes (blood sugar)
- Cholesterol (HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and Total Cholesterol)
- Thyroid function
- Liver disease
- Kidney disease
Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital’s phlebotomy staff will draw the blood samples and testing will be completed in the hospital’s laboratory. A printed report will be sent to the address provided to each participant, and this will include all test results and noting any result reporting outside of the normal range for the age and gender of the individual.
The cost is $45 for the complete testing package, and for an additional $15, men ages 50 and older can receive a PSA prostate screen. Proceeds will support the many community programs of the Dover-New Philadelphia Kiwanis Club.
Appointments are required and are available beginning at 6 a.m. To register, visit the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital website or call the hospital’s Community Relations Department office at 330-308-3599 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
