Calling all photographers: Wilderness Center to host nature photo contest

Photo by Patricia Milliken. “Birdseed Bandits” was first-place winner in 2016 for the category of photos taken at The Wilderness Center as part of the Wilderness Center Nature Photo Club contest. Entries are currently being accepted for this year’s contest.

The Wilderness Center Nature Photo Club will hold the 25th Annual Foto Fest event on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, April 22, from 1 – 4:30 p.m. at The Wilderness Center in Wilmot. Review your photo collection to select that special photo that could win this year’s photo contest. Everyone is invited to attend the Foto Fest event at The Wilderness Center to view the photos on display and cast a vote for favorites.

Winning photos will be determined based on the ballots cast by the general public attending the event. A Judge’s Choice award, selected by a professional photographer and a naturalist, will be given. Winners will receive certificates.

Cost is $5 per photo entry, but only $3 per entry in the Youth category.

An entry form with all of the details is available online at The Wilderness Center Nature Photo Club website, www.twcnpc.com; select the tab for Foto Fest Info. Several drop-off locations for photo entries are available. The drop-off locations, dates, and times are listed on the entry form.
