Budget Sports report

Under the direction of second-year Head Coach Terry Rowe, the Pirates are ready for a
challenge after losing several pillars to graduation.

“We are introducing many new players to the varsity level this season,” Rowe explained. “Even though we lost much of our scoring and rebounding from last year’s team, we have a group of returning letter-winners and newcomers who are working very hard and are excited to get the season started.”

Rowe noted the team will be led by Malik Shaffer, a senior who is the lead returning scorer and led the Pirates in points from three-point land last year. Trevor Donaldson, Karson Schrock and Ethan Roden are also back for the Pirates.

“Our team goal for the season is to get better every time we step on the basketball court and progress to the point that we will be playing our best basketball by the end of the season,” Rowe shared.
